Process Improvement Consultant

DHRP are partnering a leading organisation in Dublin City Centre who is focused on working in partnership with clients to deliver sustainable business transformation. They are looking to grow this team in 2018 with the appointment of consultants and Managers who have a background in Business Transformation and Process Improvement.

You will be part of a highly skilled, specialist team within the wider group of Operational Effectiveness professionals. The highly motivated team have an excellent track record of delivering high-quality work to major national and international clients and has ambitious growth plans for the next few years.

Some recent assignments completed by the team include:  

  • Identified integration synergies and operational improvement opportunities for a global plastics manufacturing company
  • Supported a semi-state organisation to implement and embed a lean / process optimisation capability in a key business unit
  • Identified areas of opportunity to simplify, re-engineer and improve processes across a number of departments for UK Insurance Company and supported delivery of the business changes
  • Completed an assessment of current state processes and assisted in the design and documentation of  ‘to-be’ processes for a multinational technology company
  • Completed a review of a State Agency to ensure that it was optimally configured to deliver on its mandates in the future

Responsibilities

  • Data capture and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, documenting conclusions, and providing recommendations
  • Business, process and organisation analysis and (re) design
  • Process documentation, mapping and procedures development
  • Business/function transformation (planning, design and / or delivery)
  • Operational risk and controls (planning, design and/or delivery)
  • Organisational change management
  • Business change readiness

Requirements

  • 5+ years total experience – including consulting experience from a professional service, advisory or internal consulting environment
  • Client focused and commercially astute
  • Excellent understanding of leading business practices
  • Project/programme management experience
  • Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptable with an innovative approach to their work
  • Can effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with different audiences
  • Excellent  Excel, PowerPoint and report writing skills
  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience of working with large-scale operations and/or in consulting roles
  • Supporting projects to deliver results for clients within agreed deadlines and budgets
  • Experience of managing client and internal stakeholder expectations
  • Supporting the delivery of formal and informal reports and presentations
  • Contributing to the preparation and presenting of compelling proposals for new client work
